We believe that innovation isn’t just about technology—it’s about the people, culture, and purpose that make it happen. Every Switch team member contributes to a mission greater than themselves: to create the world’s most advanced digital infrastructure that powers the progress of humanity.

The Role: Information Security Analyst II

The Information Security Analyst II helps protect Switch systems, applications, and data from security threats. You will monitor security activity, investigate incidents, identify vulnerabilities, and support risk and compliance programs. You will handle routine and moderately complex security issues with some independence while escalating higher-risk issues when needed. Your work will help maintain consistent security practices across Switch.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and analyze security events and logs from firewalls, endpoint tools, intrusion detection systems, web proxies, and other security sources.

  • Investigate security incidents and support corrective actions to reduce the risk of recurrence.

  • Conduct vulnerability scans and risk assessments to identify security weaknesses.

  • Track identified vulnerabilities and security risks through resolution.

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Support compliance activities for applicable security regulations and frameworks, including SOX, HITRUST, and ISO.

  • Assist with security audits, evidence collection, and compliance reviews.

  • Support security awareness training and help employees understand security requirements.

  • Work with IT, Legal, and other teams to address security issues and maintain security controls.

  • Prepare clear reports on security incidents, risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance activities.

What We’re Looking For

  • You communicate security issues clearly without leaving out information needed to make decisions.

  • You follow established security processes and know when an issue needs to be escalated.

  • You investigate problems methodically and use available evidence to reach sound conclusions.

  • You identify risks early and follow through until they are addressed or transferred to the appropriate owner.

  • You work effectively with technical and nontechnical teams while maintaining clear ownership of your responsibilities.

  • You handle sensitive security information with care and follow established protocols.

What You’ll Bring

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in information security, cybersecurity, or a related IT role.

  • Working knowledge of network and system security, including firewalls, endpoint protection, authentication, and access controls.

  • Experience monitoring and analyzing security events, alerts, or logs.

  • Experience with security tools such as SIEM platforms and vulnerability scanners.

  • Experience supporting incident response, vulnerability management, or security risk assessments.

  • Ability to analyze security information and document findings clearly.

  • Working knowledge of security standards, controls, or compliance requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, GCIH, GIAC, or similar are preferred, but not required.
