The Role: Schedule Specialist

As a Schedule Specialist, you review and validate construction schedules on behalf of the owner. You ensure contractor schedules are accurate, complete, and aligned with contract requirements and project milestones. You identify risks early, track progress against plan, and support decisions related to schedule impacts. This role works independently within established frameworks and partners closely with project teams. This is a remote role with regular travel to project sites.

What You’ll Do

• Review contractor baseline and update schedules for accuracy and completeness
• Validate schedule logic, sequencing, durations, and critical path
• Confirm alignment with contract requirements and key project milestones
• Identify schedule risks, delays, and inconsistencies early
• Track progress against approved schedules and verify reported percent complete
• Perform schedule impact analysis for changes and delays
• Develop independent schedule assessments and forecast completion dates
• Document schedule reviews, comments, and approvals clearly and consistently
• Participate in project meetings and communicate schedule status and risks
• Coordinate with construction, cost, and program teams to resolve schedule issues
• Support analysis and resolution of schedule-related disputes

• Holds contractors accountable while maintaining professional working relationships

What You’ll Bring

Required

• 4–7 years of experience in construction scheduling or project controls
• Experience reviewing contractor schedules for an owner, developer, or consultant
• Proficiency in Primavera P6
• Strong understanding of Critical Path Method scheduling
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Ability to travel 25–50% to project sites

Preferred

• Experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale construction
• Familiarity with delay analysis methods such as time impact analysis or as-planned vs. as-built
• Relevant certifications such as PMI-SP, PMP, or PSP
