As an Order Management Specialist, you will support the accurate processing and administration of customer contracts and service orders. This role exists to ensure customer agreements are properly documented, validated, and communicated across internal systems to support billing, service delivery, and revenue reporting.
You will work closely with Sales, Sales Operations, Legal, Finance, and Data Center Services teams to verify contract terms, maintain CRM and ERP records, and ensure customer orders are processed efficiently and accurately.
Review customer contracts and service orders to confirm completeness, accuracy, and compliance with Switch business rules.
Collaborate with Sales and Sales Operations to ensure quotes and contracts align with customer agreements.
Capture and validate key contract details, including billing terms and service scope.
Maintain contract records within CRM and ERP systems.
Communicate billing terms and invoice line items to Accounts Receivable for accurate invoicing.
Prepare and process orders for billing and service delivery tracking.
Track customer agreement milestones and contract performance metrics.
Prepare contract change notices and maintain related documentation.
Support revenue controls and month-end reporting activities.
Maintain contract reports, order metrics, and operational dashboards.
Coordinate service delivery hand-offs with internal teams to support project success.
Escalate contract issues that may impact service delivery or billing accuracy.
You maintain strong attention to detail when reviewing contracts and financial data.
You communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
You manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
You identify issues early and work proactively to resolve them.
You stay organized while handling high volumes of operational work.
You operate professionally when working with internal teams and customers.
Required
Experience in order management, contract administration, sales operations, or related roles.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Experience reviewing contracts or processing customer orders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Preferred
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
Experience working with CRM or ERP systems such as Salesforce or Oracle Fusion.
Familiarity with revenue reporting or billing processes.
