The Role: Maintenance Program Manager

As Maintenance Program Manager within Reliability Engineering, you will provide strategic leadership for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs supporting mission-critical infrastructure. This role exists to ensure maintenance strategies are standardized, data-driven, compliant, and aligned with uptime commitments. You will drive program governance, reliability improvements, and continuous optimization across electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Own enterprise-wide maintenance programs across data center campuses.

  • Develop and refine preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to reduce unplanned outages.

  • Establish maintenance standards, procedures, and governance aligned with Reliability Engineering best practices.

  • Partner with Facilities Operations to ensure maintenance execution supports uptime commitments.

  • Collaborate with vendors to align maintenance scopes, documentation, and performance standards.

  • Ensure programs comply with Switch Maintenance Policies and applicable OSHA and regulatory requirements.

  • Drive standardization and scalability of maintenance programs across regions.

  • Use CMMS data and performance metrics to improve efficiency and lifecycle cost management.

  • Support reliability-centered maintenance initiatives, FMEA, and root cause analysis efforts.

  • Provide executive reporting on maintenance effectiveness, risk exposure, and performance trends.

What We’re Looking For

  • You establish standards and drive disciplined execution.

  • You anticipate reliability risks before they impact operations.

  • You use data to guide maintenance strategy and cost decisions.

  • You communicate clearly with technical, operational, and leadership stakeholders.

  • You enforce safety and compliance without compromising uptime.

  • You influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

What You’ll Bring

Required:

  • 7+ years of experience in critical facilities, data center, or reliability-focused maintenance environments.

  • Experience developing and managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs at scale.

  • Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, UPS, generator, and mission-critical systems.

  • Proficiency with CMMS platforms and maintenance analytics.

  • Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles including RCM, FMEA, and root cause analysis.

  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and OEM maintenance requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred:

  • Professional certifications such as CMRP, PMP, or CFM.

  • Experience standardizing maintenance programs across multiple sites.

  • Experience supporting audits and regulatory inspections in mission-critical environments.

We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every preferred qualification.
