As a QA Technician I at Switch, you will maintain cleanliness and order across data center and construction environments. This role exists to ensure facilities are safe, organized, and ready for daily operations and customer tours. You will support common areas, shipping and receiving, office spaces, and active data floors. Your work directly supports operational readiness and the Switch brand standard.
Perform general janitorial duties including cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal, and organization.
Maintain cleanliness across common areas, restrooms, data floors, shipping and receiving, and office spaces.
Dispose of cardboard, foam, and pallets in designated areas.
Clean plenum areas and detail high-traffic zones such as mantraps and hallways.
Perform daily perimeter walks to identify and address issues.
Maintain and replace sticky mats throughout the facility.
Support basic material handling for cleaning supplies and equipment.
Operate warehouse tools such as pallet jacks and forklifts as required.
Perform minor facility tasks such as changing lights, tightening handles, and adjusting door hinges.
Monitor supply levels and communicate when restocking is needed.
Complete required LMS training.
You maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
You pay close attention to detail.
You follow safety procedures when handling materials and chemicals.
You communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
You manage time effectively and work independently when needed.
You maintain a professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic janitorial, facilities, or maintenance experience.
Understanding of general safety practices.
Basic computer skills including email and internal communication tools.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred:
Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks.
Experience working in data center or construction environments.
