Led by Founder & CEO, Rob Roy, we believe in revolutionary innovation, operational excellence and the principle of karma. Switch is where talented people come together to EVOLVE the digital world.

We believe that innovation isn’t just about technology—it’s about the people, culture, and purpose that make it happen. Every Switch team member contributes to a mission greater than themselves: to create the world’s most advanced digital infrastructure that powers the progress of humanity.

The Role: Senior Change Enablement Systems Architect

As Senior Change Enablement Systems Architect, you own the enterprise systems and architecture that support end-to-end change execution across Switch data centers. You design and govern workflows, data structures, controls, integrations, and reporting that make change execution consistent, auditable, and scalable.

You translate operational and policy requirements into system capabilities. You ensure the change platform is reliable, secure, and aligned with how teams actually operate. Your work strengthens governance while enabling speed.

What You’ll Do

  • Define the future-state architecture for change enablement systems, including workflows, data standards, and integrations

  • Own the system roadmap and enhancement backlog based on risk, operational value, and stakeholder input

  • Translate policy and operational requirements into system configurations, forms, templates, and approval models

  • Standardize how risk, impact, implementation steps, validation, and rollback plans are captured

  • Establish configuration governance including intake, design standards, testing, release management, and documentation

  • Design and maintain integrations with related systems such as CMDB, incident, problem, identity, and reporting platforms

  • Ensure proper access controls, role design, and segregation of duties

  • Maintain data quality standards and ensure the system serves as a dependable system of record

  • Deliver reporting and insights on change quality, cycle time, compliance, and trend analysis

  • Lead working groups to resolve cross-functional design decisions

  • Develop playbooks, job aids, and training materials to drive adoption

  • Complete required background checks and drug screenings for customer-specific deployments

What We’re Looking For

  • You design systems that balance governance with operational practicality

  • You make architecture decisions that scale across teams and regions

  • You communicate complex system design in clear, structured language

  • You influence technical and operational leaders without relying on authority

  • You hold high standards for data integrity and audit readiness

  • You use metrics to improve performance and reduce risk

  • You anticipate downstream impact before implementing change

What You’ll Bring

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in data center or critical operations environments

  • 5+ years of experience in change enablement or change management programs

  • Strong expertise in ITIL change practices, including governance and control design

  • Experience designing workflows, approval models, and system governance frameworks

  • Strong understanding of CMDB fundamentals, configuration item modeling, and impact analysis

  • Experience designing integrations between change, incident, problem, and asset systems

  • Experience defining KPIs such as change success rate, emergency rate, and lead time

  • Strong written documentation and executive communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Preferred:

  • ITIL certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • Experience with ServiceNow architecture including ITSM modules, workflow configuration, and role-based access design

  • Experience implementing automation-first change models

Physical and Work Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and operate standard business equipment

  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally

  • Ability to comply with required personal protective equipment when working in operational areas

If you meet most of these qualifications, we encourage you to apply.
