About Switch

At Switch, we don’t just design, build and operate data centers—we are enabling the technology of the future. Led by Founder & CEO, Rob Roy, we believe in revolutionary innovation, operational excellence and the principle of karma. Switch is where talented people come together to EVOLVE the digital world.

We believe that innovation isn’t just about technology—it’s about the people, culture, and purpose that make it happen. Every Switch team member contributes to a mission greater than themselves: to create the world’s most advanced digital infrastructure that powers the progress of humanity.

The Role: Sr. BIM Manager

As Sr. BIM Manager, you set the direction for Building Information Modeling at Switch. You lead the BIM function, define standards, and ensure alignment across design, construction, product development, and IT. You are accountable for team performance, process maturity, software strategy, and documentation quality. This role shapes how BIM supports enterprise-level project delivery and long-term operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and develop the BIM team, including managers or senior contributors

  • Set the strategic direction for BIM standards, workflows, and technology adoption

  • Oversee enterprise BIM specifications and ensure alignment with stakeholder requirements

  • Own governance of BEPs, EIRs, SOWs, and RFP BIM language to ensure compliant deliverables

  • Establish scalable BIM processes and publish workflow documentation to the Business Process Forum

  • Allocate resources across major projects and adjust capacity planning based on business priorities

  • Partner with Design, Construction, Product Development, and IT leaders to align BIM capabilities with business needs

  • Oversee coordination between Revit content and SolidWorks product models to maintain accuracy across generational updates

  • Drive process improvements that reduce rework, increase efficiency, and close workflow gaps

  • Lead BIM software strategy, licensing forecasts, and procurement planning

  • Ensure BIM users have appropriate hardware, software, and content infrastructure

  • Own the BIM operating budget, forecast expenditures, and approve invoices

  • Identify and implement opportunities where BIM strengthens innovation, speed, and quality across teams

What We’re Looking For

  • Operates with strategic clarity and sets direction for a functional discipline

  • Builds scalable systems rather than solving issues case by case

  • Makes high-impact decisions that balance cost, schedule, and technical standards

  • Communicates clearly with executive and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Develops leaders and creates depth within the BIM team

  • Maintains documentation discipline and long-term version control

  • Anticipates capability gaps and plans proactively

  • Approaches leadership with accountability and service to internal partners

What You’ll Bring

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years of BIM experience in large-scale design or construction environments

  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams

  • Advanced expertise in Revit and enterprise BIM standards development

  • Experience establishing and governing BIM specifications and documentation frameworks

  • Experience supporting large, complex infrastructure or mission-critical projects

  • Experience managing departmental budgets and vendor relationships

  • Strong understanding of cross-platform model coordination, including Revit and SolidWorks environments

Preferred

  • Experience in data center or mission-critical infrastructure development

  • Experience scaling BIM programs across multiple projects or regions

  • Experience implementing enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives

If you meet most of the qualifications but not all, we encourage you to apply.
