As the Strategic Sourcing Manager for OFCI Equipment, you will lead sourcing execution for critical data center equipment categories. You are responsible for running competitive bids, negotiating supplier agreements, and aligning procurement to construction schedules and budget targets. This role ensures equipment is delivered on time and meets performance standards. Your work directly supports project delivery and cost control across Switch’s data center portfolio.
Lead procurement activities for OFCI equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and modular systems.
Execute sourcing strategies aligned to construction forecasts and category plans.
Run competitive sourcing events and negotiate pricing, lead times, and service terms.
Manage supplier relationships, including performance tracking and issue resolution.
Support development of should-cost models and drive cost improvement efforts.
Partner with Design and Construction teams to align specifications and project milestones.
Coordinate with Supply Chain Execution to support equipment delivery and inventory programs.
Identify supply risks related to capacity, logistics, or obsolescence and support mitigation plans.
Support OFCI capital budget tracking and value engineering initiatives.
Ensure sourcing activities comply with internal policy and contract standards.
Provide clear updates on cost, delivery status, and supplier performance to stakeholders.
You take ownership of projects and follow through on commitments.
You use data and sound judgment to make practical sourcing decisions.
You communicate clearly and share information directly.
You collaborate across teams to solve problems and meet deadlines.
You stay organized and manage multiple priorities without losing detail.
You address supplier performance issues early and constructively.
You operate reliably in deadline-driven construction environments.
Required
7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
Experience sourcing mechanical, electrical, or construction-related equipment.
Demonstrated success negotiating commercial terms and supplier agreements.
Experience supporting capital projects or infrastructure programs.
Strong analytical skills, including cost analysis and contract review.
Preferred
Experience with OFCI procurement models in data center or mission-critical construction.
Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement analytics tools.
Experience working in fast-paced, multi-site construction environments.
