The Role: Senior Compensation Analyst

The Senior Compensation Analyst serves as a compensation advisor to leaders, Talent Acquisition, and business partners, providing both strategic consultation and hands-on compensation expertise. This role balances operational execution with business partnership, helping leaders make informed pay decisions while ensuring compensation programs remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with company objectives.

Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this individual will independently manage complex compensation matters, influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations, and serve as a trusted sounding board on a broad range of compensation topics. The role spans everything from market pricing and compensation cycle execution to advising leaders on organizational and talent-related compensation strategies.

What You’ll Do

Compensation Partnership & Advisory

  • Serve as a compensation advisor to leaders, recruiters, and business partners on offers, promotions, transfers, retention situations, and other pay decisions.

  • Provide data-driven recommendations that balance market competitiveness, internal equity, business needs, and compensation philosophy.

Market Pricing, Job Architecture & Compensation Programs

  • Conduct market pricing and job evaluations, recommending salary ranges, job levels, and FLSA classifications.

  • Manage compensation survey participation and market benchmarking activities to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.

  • Support job architecture and leveling efforts through market analysis and role evaluations.

Compensation Cycles & Program Execution

  • Lead key compensation processes, including merit, promotion, transfer, and bonus cycles, ensuring accurate execution and reporting.

  • Maintain compensation structures, policies, and data to support consistency, compliance, and market competitiveness.

  • Partner cross-functionally to improve compensation processes, tools, and operational effectiveness.

Analytics & Insights

  • Analyze compensation and workforce data to identify trends, assess internal equity, and evaluate market competitiveness.

  • Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for leaders and stakeholders.

  • Support compensation reviews and strategic initiatives through modeling, reporting, and analysis.

Enablement & Program Improvement

  • Develop training, tools, and guidance that help managers and recruiters effectively navigate compensation programs and decisions.

  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of compensation programs, policies, and practices to support business growth and scalability.

What You’ll Bring

  • 7+ years of progressive compensation experience

  • Deep knowledge of compensation fundamentals, including market pricing, salary structures, job architecture, compensation cycles, and FLSA classifications.

  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities and experience working with large datasets.

  • Experience leveraging compensation surveys and market data to inform recommendations and decision-making.

  • Proven ability to independently manage complex compensation matters and influence decisions through data-driven insights.

  • Strong communication, consulting, and relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively partner with leaders and recruiters.

  • Experience with HRIS and compensation management systems.

  • Sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance.
