  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Conduct and document technical accounting research on complex transactions (e.g., debt modifications, equity arrangements, revenue recognition).
  • Monitor and interpret new accounting standards and assess their impact on the company’s financial reporting in collaboration with the General Accounting team.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and co-manage the year-end audit process.
  • Partner with Treasury, Legal, and FP&A teams to ensure alignment on financial disclosures and covenant compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes using AI and automation tools; lead or support implementation of such technologies.
  • Maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-impact environment where execution is key.
  • Uphold Switch’s Karma philosophy— leading with integrity and empowering those around you.

    environments where execution is key.
  • Integrity-Driven Leaders – You operate with honor, responsibility, and purpose, recognizing that the energy you put out into the world will return to you.
  • Tech Pioneers – You understand the power of technology to change the world and want to be at the forefront of that transformation.

What You'll Bring

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, including public accounting and/or private industry.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (U.S. GAAP) and experience with complex financial instruments and debt structures.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing multiple sets of financials for different stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in accounting for debt transactions, including issuance, modification, extinguishment, covenant compliance, and related disclosure requirements under U.S. GAAP.
  • Proficiency with financial systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion, JD Edwards, ReportsNow, Workday Adaptive) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Alteryx, Power BI, or similar) in a financial reporting or accounting context is highly preferred.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in financial processes.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
