General Purpose of the Position:
The primary responsibility of the Internal Communications Coordinator is to support the company’s mission of building culture and community at Switch. The primary function of this role includes copywriting and content development for all internal communications and company initiatives. The person in this role will assist with the planning and execution of all Engagement events, projects and programming. The Internal Communications Coordinator will serve as a member of the Engagement and Branding team and will report to the Senior Director of Engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the creation, scheduling and posting of content for Switch INSIDER, the company’s internal communications platform
- Assists with backend support of internal communications platform
- Supports the Engagement team with the planning and execution of all internal events, projects and programming
- Ensures that the members of the team stay on track with projects and tasks by utilizing a project management platform to monitor progress and deadlines
- Assists with data collection and reporting for all team initiatives and programs
- Assists with project coordination for Branding team
- Attends regular team meetings to capture notes and action items
- Cross-trains and supports the Innevation Center front desk and flex space when needed
- Fulfills various requests and tasks in an appropriate and timely manner
- Continuously improves processes and procedures for our team members
- Serves as an ambassador for Switch and lives the Switch Culture Codes
- Works collaboratively with a small team on tight deadlines
- May be required to travel based on team needs

Computer Equipment and Software:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience in WordPress a plus
- Experience in Asana a plus
- Experience in Microsoft 365 a plus
- Adept at learning new software applications
Education and Experience:
- Copywriting, content development, or blog management experience required
- Project management experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Event management and event design experience a plus
