The Role: Change Order Specialist of Connectivity

As a Change Order Specialist of Connectivity at Switch, you will be part of a world-class team that operates in excellence, delivering mission-critical solutions that redefine what’s possible in AI, cloud and enterprise data center needs. Your work will directly impact the future of technology and the sustainable growth of the Internet.

In this role you will provide support to the Connectivity Sales and Leadership Team to optimize sales results by taking on key administrative tasks. You will play a key role in ensuring the highest level of support is provided to both internal and external customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for enabling sales representatives to optimize every buyer interaction, which will enable continuous business relationships and pipeline expansion, enhance opportunities, and close deals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide direct sales support by utilizing a variety of organizational and project management skills.
  • Speak clearly and concisely directly to customers via video conference, telephone and email.
  • Assist sales team with adds, moves, disconnects and changes of contracted services.
  • Work directly with vendors and partners on pricing/quoting.
  • Expedite sales process by facilitating requests with appropriate internal groups, coordinating completion, and ensuring timely responses.
  • Follow standardized procedures to ensure the legal approvals process is followed for the management of all sales orders.
  • Provide continuous process improvement suggestions.
  • Maintain expertise on Switch products and services.
  • Provide support to sales staff as needed.
  • Provide direct sales support by utilizing a variety of organizational and project management skills.
  • Perform administrative changes to internal quoting system including workbook order entry.
  • Develop effective working relationships with peers, sales team and across organizational lines.
  • Drive next-level innovation in Sales-Connectivity to support our mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-impact environment where execution is key.

What You’ll Bring

  • Preferably 2+ years of relevant work experience within the telecommunications sector.
  • Understanding of telecommunications industry products and network elements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office software suite abilities.
  • Preferably experience with Salesforce / or relevant CRM experience
  • Ability to be detail oriented and highly organized with the capacity to perform multiple tasks.
  • Cheerful, positive, and outgoing demeanor.
  • Ability to work with senior management to complete assigned tasks on time with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in confidential matters.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in a highly public/interactive environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a professional supportive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Understand technology and customer ordering systems.
  • Resourceful self-starter who identifies problem areas and improves workflows.
  • Willingness to support team members in all capacities.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to commit a significant amount of time performing computer and phone-based work.
  • Ability to intermittently work weekends and/or off-hours to support business needs.
