As a Data Analyst Intern, you will support projects focused on business intelligence, analytics, and operational reporting across Switch environments. This role exists to help teams turn data into actionable insights that support decision-making across AI, cloud, and data center operations.
You will work alongside analysts, engineers, and business teams while gaining hands-on experience with modern analytics tools, reporting platforms, and data-driven workflows.
Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and operational insights
Support data quality reviews and validation efforts
Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations
Assist with gathering business requirements for reporting and analytics projects
Document processes, metrics, and data definitions
Present findings and summaries in a clear and understandable format
Learn and apply data analysis techniques using tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Superset
Support projects involving AI, automation, and business intelligence
Contribute to team initiatives focused on operational improvement and innovation
You are curious and motivated to solve problems using data
You pay attention to detail and enjoy learning new tools
You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with others
You are interested in analytics, AI, cloud infrastructure, or business intelligence
You can manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
You are eager to learn and grow through hands-on experience
Required:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field
Basic understanding of SQL and data analysis concepts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools
Preferred:
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Superset
Experience with or interest in AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code
Interest in AI, data governance, or business intelligence concepts
Prior coursework, projects, or internship experience involving analytics or reporting
