The Role: Procurement Specialist
At Switch, you will be part of a world-class team that operates in excellence, delivering mission-critical solutions that redefine what’s possible in AI, cloud and enterprise data center needs. Your work will directly impact the future of technology and the sustainable growth of the Internet.
In this role you will assist with any tasks associated with the purchasing and planning of materials necessary to support the business needs and objectives of Switch.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement a competitive compensation and benefits strategy that aligns with company objectives and scales with growth.
- Design executive and broad-based compensation programs, including salary structures, incentives, equity, and bonus plans that support retention and performance.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and management of benefits programs (health, wellness, retirement, and other perks) to enhance employee satisfaction and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with all compensation and benefits-related regulations across multiple geographies.
- Execute purchase orders and ensure delivery from vendors.
- Expedite and liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Ensure continuous communication and updates are provided to appropriate departments as needed.
- Obtain vendor quotes.
- Research and identify vendors, and negotiate to achieve desired quality, price, and timetables.
- Write and analyze requisitions, invoices, supply requests and supply orders.
- Track and monitor inventory and needs to determine when to order or purchase new items.
- Inspect deliveries for shipping errors, improper handling, or quality issues.
- Resolve billing and shipping problems and provide information to vendors.
- Complete, organize and file all necessary documentation
- Drive next-level innovation in Procurement to support our mission-critical infrastructure.

What You'll Bring
- One to three years of experience in purchasing or supply chain related positions.
- Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to be proactive, take initiative, independently manage multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines, work under pressure, and ensure follow-through.
- Ability to be flexible to a changing environment, acknowledging urgency when necessary.
- Work cohesively with team members with a “roll-up your sleeves” attitude, supporting and promoting team efforts.
- Display a positive attitude through behaviors and demonstrate supportive problem solving skills.
- Thorough working knowledge of various software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Working knowledge of JD Edwards strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related areas or equivalent of education and experience.
